Lightning detector!

Whilst searching around for extra things to add to my site, I came across lightning detection equipment!  I thought it would be a great addition to the site if I could set this up along with some sort of subscription service whereby you could sign up to receive an email when a storm was on its way and be able to watch it on the streaming camera link...

A lightning detector informing facilitator!
Thousands of miles away I can be aware of a single lightning strike in that stoic Portsmouth tract.
Beautiful. If there is a way of actually channelling the electrical discharge (P2P?) then the alert would be that bit more immediate and gratifying, albeit potentially lethal. Top marks!
I may work on a similar model for earthquakes here in Japan.
Is it possible to convert lightning / earthquakes / squalls etc to comparative bandwidth levels or not?
Anyway, rhetoric aside, loving your work, crack on!
